Geography
Geographical Location
Ebnath located in the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park, in the far north of the Upper Palatinate, directly on the border with the district of Upper Franconia. Far from the village are the Kösseine, the Natural Park Stone Forest and the Kemnather country.

History
Ebnath was first documented in 1179. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria, he formed a closed Hofmark of the Counts of Hirschberg. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
