Ebrahim Javadi

Ibrahim Javadi, Persian ابراهیم جوادی, ( born July 28, 1943 in Qazvin ) is a former Iranian wrestler. The freestyle wrestler won the bronze medal in the paper weight (48 kg) at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

The technically savvy Javadi won the gold medal in the Wrestling World Championships 1969 in Mar del Plata, 1970 in Edmonton, 1971 in Sofia and in 1973 in Tehran. Ibrahim Javadi was particularly successful on a continental scale: he won two gold medals at the Asian Games in 1970 in Bangkok and 1974 in Tehran. For his contributions to the sport wrestler he was taken in September 2011 in the FILA International Wrestling Hall of Fame.
