EBSA European Snooker Championships

The EBSA European Snooker Championship for Men is a snooker tournament, which is held by the European Billiards and Snooker Association ( EBSA ).

History

For the first time the tournament was held in 1988. Since 1993 takes place annually.

Eligible are players that do not play simultaneously on the Snooker Main Tour. Before there was a participant limit on the professional tour, only players were accordingly entitled to participate under a certain placement in the Snooker world rankings. The victory at the European Championships is one of several ways to qualify for the main tour at the same time for some time.

Youngest ever winner of the Belgian Luca Brecel, who won at the age of 15 years in 2010. Four players won the tournament twice ( Björn Haneveer, David John, Alex Borg and Robin Hull).
