ECARF Quality Seal

The ECARF Quality Seal is a seal of approval or seal of approval and is intended to facilitate the selection of allergy- friendly products and services. The non-profit Foundation European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation ( ECARF) gives the seal since 2006 for products and services that meet detailed quality requirements for Allergy friendliness. Depending on the products and services exist defined sets of criteria that are based on the latest findings in allergy research and are regularly updated. Since 2008, the seal will be awarded to communities that adapt to the needs of allergy sufferers. So far, the Baabe on the island of Rügen, the North Sea island of Borkum, Bad Hindelang in the Allgäu, the 5 Black Forest town of Triberg, Schonach, Schonwald, Furtwangen and St. Georgen and the community Eslohe and the town of Schmallenberg in the Sauerland as " Allergy -friendly community " with the ECARF Seal of Quality was excellent. The seal is valid for two years and can be used royalty- free. The validity may be extended if either the product or the service nor the award criteria were changed.

Award criteria

The ECARF Quality Seal is a European prize. The Foundation awards the seal according to the detailed requirements that developed, reviewed and monitored their international scientific advisory board.

Basically all the products, such as consumer goods or food, but also service providers such as hotels or restaurants can be certified. Requirements for the issue of the sign is the proof that a product or service improves the quality of life of people with allergies proven. The product or service quality is checked on a regular audit.
