Échallens District

The District d' Echallens (German District Echallens ) until 31 December 2007, an administrative unit of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Capital was Echallens. The District was divided into the Cercle (German circles) Vuarrens, Bottens and Echallens. The community Bercher belonged until 1960 to the district Moudon.

The District was composed of 29 municipalities, was 135.86 km ² and counted 22'107 inhabitants ( end of 2006).
