Geography

Echsenbach located in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 23.13 km ². 21.65 percent of the area is forested.

History

Echsenbach, noble seat of the von Ochsenbach, was first documented in 1175. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria.
