Eckart Diesch

Eckart Diesch ( born May 1, 1954 in Friedrichshafen, Germany ) is a German sailor who was Olympic champion in 1976 in the Flying Dutchman class.

Eckart Diesch was already successful as Vorschotmann along with his brother Jörg as a youth and junior. 1968 and 1969 they won the German youth championship in pirate. In 1972 she was world champion in the class Shark 24 and later in front of the Canadian Fireball Kingston. After they had switched in 1973 in the Flying Dutchman, they won the 1974 at the Kieler Woche.
