The corner Rich is a mountain northwest of Fritzlar in northern Hesse Schwalm- Eder-Kreis. At its highest point, 254 m above sea level. NN, still stands today in the midst of a thick forest, a watch-tower in the 13th century, built by the city Fritzlar " Rich corner waiting ", surrounded by a deep moat and therefore running rampart.

The corner Rich belongs to the natural area 341.42, the belonging to the Ostwald Ecker edge sinks " Elber Berger heights " in the West Hessian mountain country, and is the southernmost terminus. It also marks the south-western terminus of the " Fritzlarer flare " ( natural area 343.23 ) and rises north via the " Fritzlarer Eder corridor " ( natural area 343 211 ) and the coming of the West Eder. Along with him he is on the southern bank of the Eder opposite Bueraberg the " Porta Hassiaca ", through which the river from the "Wild Unger sink" in the " Fritzlarer Eder corridor " and thus into the " Waberner level " ( Nature Room No. 343.21 ) breaks. The mountain falls in the west and southwest for about 100 meters deeper valley of the Eder and also in the north- west to the village of Geismar Fritzlarer quite steeply, while towards the east and southeast, to Fritzlar, only gradually flattens. Particularly important are the cross - gentian ( Gentiana cruciata ) and the cross- gentian - Large Blues ( Phengaris rebeli ).

In the 1970s, the North West slope was exposed in the Eder -Elbe valley by a DFG-funded and conducted by the State Conservation Office Hesse extensive excavation a multiphase village settlement at the foot, which probably existed around 200 BC and until the middle Ages was inhabited. Of settlement and residency chat in the migration period could be detected archaeologically.
