Eckhard Krautzun

Eckhard Krautzun ( born January 13, 1941 in Essen) is a German football coach and former football player.

As a player, he worked for Union Solingen, the Rheydter game club, 1.FC Kaiserslautern, Young Fellows Zurich and Tennis Borussia Berlin.

Coach stations

His coaching career began in 1969 with the Young Fellows Krautzun Zurich, which he coached until 1970. In Germany he worked as a trainer for TSV 1860 München, Union Solingen, Tennis Borussia Berlin, SV Darmstadt 98, Wormatia Worms, Alemannia Aachen, SC Freiburg, VfL Wolfsburg, 1 FC Union Berlin, 1 FC Kaiserslautern, FC St Pauli, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and FSV Mainz 05 as the first coach he worked in the 1970s for Kenya and Canada, and later for the Philippines and South Korea. Since 2003 he works in the Football Association of the People's Republic of China and coached youth teams there, and for a time the Olympic team and the Chinese national team of women. As a club coach Krautzun was abroad in addition to the Young Fellows Zurich nor for Vancouver Whitecaps, Houston Hurricane, Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Mazda Hiroshima, Al Ahli Jeddah and CS Sfaxien active.

Success as a coach

In 1995, he led VfL Wolfsburg in the final of the DFB Cup, but at the time of the final, he was no longer coach of VfL Wolfsburg. A year later it looked the other way around: he could win with the 1st FC Kaiserslautern this competition though, the club had not led itself to the final. However, the first descent of the club from the Bundesliga in the same year, he could not prevent previously, so was the cup final his last competitive game as coach in Kaiserslautern. 1998 won Krautzun with CS Sfaxien the CAF Cup.
