Écouen

Écouen is a commune with 7313 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Sarcelles and Canton Écouen. It is located about 19 km north of Paris and 15 km from Paris -Charles de Gaulle airport.

  • . Church Saint- Acceul, built in 1536-54, with a nave of 1709 and the west facade of 1852 The church is the only one with that name in France; St. Acheul was the first bishop of Amiens. Worth seeing, especially the stained glass windows of the 16th century. The tower seems to have been set prematurely because of the chaos of war.
