Ectosymbiosis

Under Ektosymbiose refers to the coexistence of two species ( interspecific relationship) that are closely connected with each other for mutual benefit ( Greek: symbiosis = co ). The symbionts live outside of each other ( Greek: Ektos = outside). The counterpart of the Ektosymbiose forms the endosymbiosis.

As a prime example considered here the hermit crab with a parasite Rose. The parasite Rose climbs with the aid of the cancer on his shell and then holds all the enemies away. In return, they benefited from the mobility of the cancer and may participate in the meals. Many hermit crabs take their parasites rose even when you move, new to her house.
