Ecuador at the 1996 Summer Olympics

Ecuador participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the ninth time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of 19 athletes, 17 of which were male and two female. They started in 18 contests in seven sports. The walker Jefferson Perez won for his country with the first Olympic gold medal ever.
