Ed Bishop

Ed Bishop ( born June 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York City as George Victor Bishop, † June 8, 2005 in London, United Kingdom ) was an American actor.

Life

Bishop began his career in London in 1961 as a supporting actor in television series and plays. A year later he made ​​his first appearance in a movie - in Stanley Kubrick's Lolita, he played an ambulance driver. After another short appearances ( among others also the little ones want to move up, You Only Live Twice, 2001: A Space Odyssey ) he met in 1967, the television producers Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, who offered him a major voice in the puppet series Captain Scarlet and it then occupied as Commander Ed Straker in the science fiction series UFO.
