Ed Helms

Edward Parker "Ed" Helms ( born January 24, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American actor who was known as an employee of Jon Stewart's The Daily Show and plays in the series The Office.

Life

Ed Helms grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Oberlin College in Ohio. Then he began to pursue a career as a comedy writer. From 2002 he was the author and "correspondents" team of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart at. In 2006 he left the show to take on the role of Andy Bernard in the third season of the NBC comedy series The Office. However, he came back for occasional guest appearances. In the office, he starred alongside his former Daily Show colleague Steve Carell, in which he has now taken over by Carell's exit from the program in 2011, also the job of the Regional Manager. Helms lived until around 2006 in an apartment in New York, which he temporarily for the filming of the office with his fellow actor and friend Zach Galifianakis exchanged with its small house in Los Angeles, California. Since his role as Andy Bernard was still written on ( actually considered to be contract only for a few weeks, because the character was not initially planned as a starring role ), pulled Helms short time later found to Los Angeles, where he now owns a home.

Helms prepares together with the director and producer Judd Apatow before the production of a film written by him.
