Ed Sheeran
Edward Christopher " Ed" Sheeran ( born February 17, 1991 Halifax, West Yorkshire ) is a British singer-songwriter.
Biography
Sheeran was born in Halifax. Later the family moved to Framlingham ( Suffolk ), where he attended Thomas Mills High School. From a young age he learned to play guitar, and in his school days made his first self-penned songs that were influenced by the music of Van Morrison. Appeared in 2005 under the title The Orange Room EP 's first EP. It was followed by two albums in 2006 and 2007. 2008 he moved to London, where he played in small clubs. In the same year he took part in the unsuccessful audition for the ITV show Britannia High.
Following the release of another EP, You Need Me, he went on tour with Just Jack. In February 2010, the rapper Example invited him to accompany him on his tour. Also in February 2010 he published his EP Loose Change. In January 2011, he released the EP No. 5 Collaborations Project, can be heard on the guest musicians such as Wiley, JME, Devlin and Ghetts. About iTunes it sold in the first week more than 7000 times. Then he got a recording contract with Atlantic Records. His debut single The A Team was released in June 2011 in his native Britain and in Germany on 25 November, the debut album was released in September 2011 in the United Kingdom and on February 10, 2012 in Germany. After an appearance on the talent show The Voice of Germany on 10 February 2012, the single The A Team reached number 9 in the German single charts, the album debuted simultaneously at No. 12 of the album charts.
At the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London Sheeran interpreted on August 12, 2012 along with Nick Mason (Pink Floyd ), Richard Jones ( The Feeling ) and Mike Rutherford ( Genesis) before an audience of millions the Pink Floyd song Wish You Were Here. Also in 2012 appeared Everything Has Changed, the Ed Sheeran wrote with Taylor Swift and recorded as a duet. The song was released on Swift's album Red. 2013 contributed Sheeran to film The Hobbit - Smaug wasteland the theme song I See Fire at. The piece achieved good rankings in the charts in many countries.
Equipment
Sheeran often plays on a Little Martin, a 23 " Acoustic Guitar of Martin & Co.. From this guitar there is also a signature ( LX1E Ed Sheeran ), which he developed in collaboration with Martin Guitar.
