Ed Westwick

Edward "Ed" Westwick (* June 27, 1987 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom ) is a British actor and musician who has become known in Gossip Girl for his role as Chuck Bass.

Life

Westwick is the son of Carole, a school psychologist, and Peter Westwick, a university lecturer. He has two older brothers. He grew up in Stevenage and completed his acting training at the National Youth Theatre in London. His acting career began Ed Westwick in 2006 with an appearance in an episode of Doctors. He then completed a guest appearance on the television series Casualty, followed by a role in the action film Children of Men Also in 2006, he was in the movie drama Breaking and Entering - to see burglary & theft. In 2007, he took a role in Son of Rambow.

Westwick is one of the main characters of the series Gossip Girl. In 2008 he was awarded a Teen Choice Award in the category " Choice TV Villain " for his role. He was romantically involved with his fellow actress Jessica Szohr, who plays the role of Vanessa Abrams in Gossip Girl.

In addition to his work as an actor Westwick was the frontman of indie rock band The Filthy Youth, which lies next to him out of Benjamin Lewis Allingham, Jimmy Wright, Mitch Cox, and John Vooght. Currently, he is not in the band active because he wants to concentrate on his acting career, but has expressed to found another band in New York.
