Eddie Dawkins

Edward Dawkins ( born July 21, 1989 in Invercargill ) is a New Zealand racing cyclist.

2005, Edward Dawkins, specialist for short term events on the track, enjoyed his first international success: In the Course Championships of Oceania in Wanganui he won in the team sprint Junior gold medal together with Elijah May and Simon van Velthooven; in the Keirin and 1000 -meter time trial, he finished in third place, respectively. As a junior he was able to gain more national and international podiums, he was runner-up in 2007 Junior World Champion on the kilometers in Aguascalientes.

2010 Dawkins was twofold New Zealand champion in the elite time trial and sprint. At the World Cup race 2010 in Beijing, he won first place in the sprint, and at the UCI Track World Championships 2010 in Copenhagen took the New Zealand Trio with Dawkins, Adam Stewart, and Sam Webster Place 5th At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he went on in the team sprint and the second in the time trial on the third place.

In the UCI Track World Championships 2013 in Minsk Dawkins was together with Ethan Mitchell and Sam Webster Vice World Champion in the team sprint. On 17 November of the same year he exhibited with 10.02 seconds over 200 meters a new national record.
