Eddie is an American comedy film directed by Steve Rash from the year 1996.

Action

The police widow Edwina Franklin ( ' Eddie' ) is a driver of luxury limousines in New York City and also a big fan of the basketball team New York Knicks. The team experienced a sporting crisis and some failures. The new owner of the Knicks, the Texas oil millionaire Wild Bill Burgess, recognizes her talent to lead a team and train. At his instigation Eddie wins in a draw for a few hours in which they can assist the training. It is set for the previous unsuccessful coach as the new coach and admits only once with prejudice and the wrongdoing of some players. When she also learns to respond individually to each player, the playful success of the team returns quickly.

The owner wants to move with the team from New York to St. Louis. Eddie is leading the opposition to the plans and duped Wild Bill by making public his plans during one of the games last season before the spectators.
