Eddie Parker (musician)

Eddie Parker ( born May 28, 1959 in Liverpool) is a British flautist and composer of modern jazz.

Parker played as a teenager, first in local rock bands, and was based on Ian Anderson. While studying at New York University he came in contact with the Jazz. He became a member of Django Bates ' Human Chain " and moved to London. There he played in John Stevens ' Band " Freshbop " and Louis Moholos " Dedication Orchestra "; He was a founding member of Loose Tubes. Then he founded his own bands, went with Bheki Mseleku on tour and was a member of the " Delightful Precipice ". He also worked with Marvin Smith and John Parricelli. He composed for the bands in which he played, but also for the Docklands Sinfonietta and the "Apollo Saxophone Quartet ".

He also works as an arranger and taught, first at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, currently at Middlesex University.
