Eddie Russo

Edward L. " Eddie" Russo ( born November 19, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois; † 14 October 2012 in King, Wisconsin) was an American race car driver.

Eddie Russo started 1952-1960 in 18 races to AAA / USAC National Series. His best finish was a seventh rank he attained in Langhorne in 1955 on a Blough - Offenhauser.

For the 500 miles of Indianapolis, he tried seven times to qualify. Four times he took part in the race, but only in 1956, when he took over the car from Ed Elisian. A higher place he could not reach. Since the race 1950-1956 belonged to the drivers' world championship of Formula 1, are also four Grand Prix starts in its statistics.

Eddie Russo was the son of Joe Russo and the nephew of Paul Russo, both of which also started in Indianapolis.
