Edelaraudtee

Edelaraudtee (South West Railway ) is an Estonian railway company.

The railway company was founded in 1997 has the routes from Tallinn to Pärnu and Viljandi, where persons ( Pärnu ) and express ( Viljandi ) and goods trains. It also operates passenger trains on routes from Tallinn to Narva, Orava, and Valga ( as well as the express trains to Tartu ) on which Eesti Raudtee operates freight. The British railway company GB Railways acquired the Edelaraudtee in 2000, following its takeover it is now part of First Group. With the commissioning of all newly appointed railcar units of type Stadler Flirt ( both diesel and electric version ) the entire innerest African passenger will pass to the Elektriraudtee that has been carried out only the electrical transport in the Greater Tallinn.
