Eden Brent

Eden Brent ( born November 16, 1965 in Greenville, Mississippi) is an American pianist, songwriter and singer.

Some critics describe Eden Brent as part of Bessie Smith, one part Janis Joplin and part of Diana Krall while others compare it with Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan and Norah Jones. Brent's talent allows her to one side rough blues singing, on the other hand demanding jazz and everything in between.

Your musical education she received in a musical family and at the University of North Texas, where she studied jazz playing and composition. Then she played with the Delta pianist Boogaloo Ames, who took her under his wing. With him, she has performed throughout Mississippi. Together with him, it is in the productions Boogaloo & Eden: Sustaining the Sound to see (1999) and Forty Days in the Delta ( 2002). Ames gave her the nickname " Little Boogaloo ."
