Edgar Itt

Edgar Itt ( born June 8, 1967 in Gedern ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic medalist, who was a successful 400 - meter runner and 400 -meter hurdler in the 1980s and 1990s. His most significant achievement is the bronze medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul in 4 x 400 - meter relay.

Edgar Itt started as Harald Schmid for the TV Gelnhausen. In his last three years as an active athlete he was trained by Harald Schmid. In his playing days, he was 1.86 m tall and weighed 75 kg.

Edgar Itt grew up in Ortenberg on at Gedern. His African father, he learned never know. He finished high school at the Gymnasium Nidda. He studied at the University of Frankfurt am Main in Business Administration and holds a master's degree in business administration. He led from 1998 to 2000 the sponsoring, sports and music marketing department of a company. Since 2000 he has been in Frankfurt motivational speaker for managers and employees of companies. In 2012, he worked as a mental coach of the German athletes at the Olympic Games in London this. Since December 2013 he is married to the musician and actress Ariane Roth.
