Edgar Leonard

Edgar Welch Leonard ( born June 19, 1881 in West Newton, Massachusetts, † October 7, 1948 in New York City ) was an American tennis player.

He won at the Olympics in St. Louis along with Beals Wright the title in the men's doubles. In the individual he was able to secure the bronze medal. Wright and Leonard were of the same year at Harvard University, where Leonard 1903 graduated. After studying Leonard worked in the textile company of his father. In 1915 he founded a brokerage firm in New York City.
