Edgardo Angara

Edgardo Javier Angara (* September 24, 1934 in Baler, Aurora) is a Filipino politician.

Biography

Ascent to the Senate President

His political career began in 1971 when he became the youngest delegates to the Constitutional Convention ( Constitutional Convention ). In 1972 he founded the law firm ACCRA, which became one of the most respected law firms in the country.

Between 1981 and 1987 he was president of the University of the Philippines and thereby gained to national prominence, in which he again made ​​the state university for the first academic center of the country.
