Edit Herczog

Edit Herczog ( born May 5, 1961) is a Hungarian politician of the Hungarian Socialist Party.

Life

Herczog studied at the University of Horticulture, Budapest and conservation engineer. From 1994 to 1997 she worked for Unilever Hungary from 1997 to 2004 for ICI Hungary. Herczog since 2004 Member of the European Parliament.

MEP

Herczog is in the period 2009-2014 Treasurer of their group, the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament.

She is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, in the Delegation to the Parliamentary Cooperation Committees EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly EURO- NEST. Deputy it is in the budget committee, the Committee on Budgetary Control, the special committee on organized crime, corruption and money laundering, in the Delegation for relations with the United States.
