Edith Bosch

Edith Bosch ( born May 31, 1980 in Den Helder ) is a Dutch judoka.

Bosch launches for the De Korte Sport Instituut. She became world champion in the 70 kg class at the World Judo Championships in 2005 in Cairo, Egypt. At the 2004 Summer Olympics she won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, the bronze medal in the middleweight division. A wider audience, however, it was not known for her sporting achievements, but through their use shortly before the 100 m final at the Olympic Games in London. Bosch stayed as a spectator at the Olympic stadium as a spectator at the launch preparations Usain Bolt insulted and pelted with a water bottle. While Bolt and the other runners mitbekamen hardly anything about it, Bosch held the offender until the police came to arrest him. A day later, the action has been read worldwide, even the chief organizer of the Games, Sebastian Coe, went in the daily press conference at the event and praised Bosch's use.
