Edith Mastenbroek

Edith Mastenbroek ( born March 23, 1975 in The Hague; † 23 August 2012) was a Dutch politician.

Mastenbroek belonged to in the 1990s, the rivet Nix ( More than Nothing ), an intra-party reform movement of the social-democratic PvdA. In 2000, she supported Al Gore in the U.S. presidential election campaign. In 2004 she was elected to the European Parliament. However, in April 2008, she retired for health reasons and was replaced by Jan Cremers. She died at the age of 37 to a cardiac arrest.
