Edith Peters
Edith Arlene Peters ( * April 14, 1926 Los Angeles, † 28 October 2000 in Los Angeles ) was an American singer and actress.
Life
Peters was the fourth of five sisters; Virginia, Mattye and Anne appeared as The Peters Sisters, Edith formed a duo with Joyce. Since the 1940s, the black singer was regularly in nightclubs as a guest. 1958 Edith went to Italy, where she married her manager Silvio Catalano. From 1960, she appeared in numerous films in supporting roles; already in the United States, both Edith as her sisters had been involved with a few songs for movies. She remained as a singer still active and took on numerous titles.
