Edmonton Indy
The Edmonton Indy is an automobile race at the Edmonton City Centre Airport in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Since 2005 it belongs to the highest category in American Championship Car Racing and is held annually. Since 2008 it is part of the racing calendar in the IndyCar Series.
History
The event at the Edmonton City Centre Airport was recorded under the name of West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix of Edmonton in 2005 in the racing calendar of the Champ Cars. With changing names he remained until the end of this series in their 2007 racing calendar. Since 2008, the IndyCar Series carries out this event.
2011, the layout of the circuit was modified and used in another part of the airport.
