Édouard Molinaro

Édouard Molinaro ( born May 13, 1928 in Bordeaux, † December 7, 2013 in Paris) was a French film director and screenwriter.

His first film Les Alchimistes turned Molinaro 1957., He was known primarily for his comedies with Louis de Funès (Oscar, Uncle Paul, the big plum ) and the nobility hostile history comedy My Uncle Benjamin (1969, with Jacques Brel and Claude Jade ). He dedicated the film of their vergunglückten in a plane crash while filming wife Pierrette, a pilot. In the 70s, followed by Messrs. Dracula ( with Christopher Lee ) and the farce of the crab louse ( with Brel and Lino Ventura ). The most famous film of comedy specialists is the travesty and gay comedy La Cage Aux Folles ( with Michel Serrault and Ugo Tognazzi ).

Molinaro was active as a director until recently, however, turned almost exclusively for television.
