Edsbyn

Edsbyn is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Gävleborg and the historical province of Hälsingland. It is located 30 kilometers west of the river Bollnäs Voxnan and is the capital of the municipality Ovanåker. Edsbyn is an industrial town and mainly in the furniture industry.

The Bandymannschaft the resort, Edsbyns IF, already for 60 years playing in the highest Swedish class Bandyallsvenskan seven times and could win the national championship. The game developer Markus Persson, who is known by the popular video game Minecraft, spent his childhood in Edsbyn.
