Eduard Castle

Eduard Castle ( born November 7, 1875 in Vienna, † June 8, 1959 ) was an Austrian historian of literature and theater studies.

Life

As a professor of literary history Castle led the German - Austrian literary history to an end; he " inherited " this task by his colleague Johann Willibald Nagl and Jakob Zeidler.

For several years, Castle served as president of the Wiener Goethe Club as well as the Adalbert Stifter society.
