Eduard Thelen

Edward Thelen (* July 7, 1946 in Cologne ) is a former German hockey player, the 1972 Olympic champion.

Edward Thelen covered with Rot-Weiss Köln four times second place in the German Championship before the defensive midfielder first time in 1972 won the title in 1973 and 1974 followed by two more championship titles.

Thelen 1969 debuted in the German national team. Having already participated in tournaments in Lahore and Bombay, he was also at the 1972 Olympics in Munich squad.
