Ana Eduarda Amorim Idalina ( born September 23, 1986 in Blumenau ) is a Brazilian handball player who belonged to the squad of the Brazilian national team.

Career

In the club

Eduarda Amorim began in 1998, the handball matches in her hometown at the Colégio Barao do Rio Branco. As of 2002, the backcourt player for Metodista ran on and joined two years later São Caetano on. For the year 2005/ 06 Amorim moved to Europe, where they from then went hunting for goals for Macedonian club Kometal Skopje. At that time also was her older sister Ana Amorim at Kometal Skopje under contract. The capital club won in each season, both the Macedonian Championship and the Macedonian Cup.

As Kometal Skopje ran into financial difficulties in 2009, Eduarda Amorim joined the Hungarian top club Gyori ETO KC. With Gyori ETO KC she won previously also every year a domestic double. With the Hungarian club they stood in 2012 in the final of the EHF Champions League, but failed there in the Montenegrin club zrk Budućnost Podgorica. Amorim scored in this competition 75 hits and finished sixth in the scoring charts. A year later, the Brazilian reached their club again the final, in the Gyori ETO KC won his first European title.

In the National Team

Eduarda Amorim ran initially on the Brazilian junior national team and was subsequently included in the squad of the national team. With the Brazilian selection, she participated in the 15th Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and at the 16th Pan American Games in Guadalajara, where they each won the gold medal. Furthermore, the Brazilian took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Eduarda Amorim was at the World Championships 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 in the Brazilian squad. At the 2013 World Championships in Serbia Amorim celebrated winning the World Cup title and was also voted the most valuable player of the tournament.
