Eduardo Adelino da Silva

Eduardo Adelino da Silva ( born October 13, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays in the U.S. for the San Jose Earthquakes.

Career

Eduardo Adelino da Silva began his career in his hometown club CR Vasco da Gama in 1999. He first started in the reserve team. There he was able to shine through his good chance recovery and was then pulled up with 20 years in the first team. For every game in professional team continuous improvement was apparent. However, he completed just three games, scoring no goals. His good performances also made many clubs in Europe aware of him. So he moved in 2000 to Sporting Charleroi. In the first year he was able to convince again and enthusiastic the board and the fans. Also to 2003, he was always set a regular player, scoring 24 goals in 84 games overall.

In 2003 he then moved to French club Toulouse FC. The coach was impressed by the speed and accuracy of fit Eduardo. He also tried a new position and that the left midfield. He proved himself in that position and got a regular place. He lost his place when several new signings were added.

In January 2005 he was awarded for 1 ½ years at FC Basel. First, he took on the substitutes ' bench, but he could after good performances as a substitute secure a regular place. After the end of the loan period and six goals in 29 games, the striker has been committed. On 18 June 2009 he left the FC Basel after manager Thorsten Fink offered him no contract extension.

On 10 February 2010, he signed a contract with the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer.
