Eduardo Carvalho

Eduardo the national team of Portugal (2011)

Eduardo ( born September 19, 1982 in Mirandela, Portugal, Eduardo dos Reis Carvalho completely ) is a Portuguese goalkeeper who plays for Sporting Braga and the Portuguese national team.

Career

Eduardo remained as an active club player for four years until 2006 in his youth club Sporting Braga. He was then hired for the season 2006/ 07 SC Beira- Mar, in which he first played in the Super League.

In the following season he was also borrowed from Vitória Setúbal. There he helped the club to win the Taça da Liga and was able to qualify for the UEFA Cup. In the match against Sporting Lisbon, he succeeded on penalties to keep three shots.

In the 2008 / 09 season, Eduardo moved back to Sporting Braga, where he was the number one of the association.

For the 2010/11 season he was transferred for a fee of 4.5 million Euros 25 % of the transfer rights to Genoa, where he signed a four year contract.

On July 20, 2011 it was announced that Eduardo was awarded for the 2011/12 season at Benfica.

For the 2012/13 season Eduardo joined the Turkish club Istanbul BB. There he met his former coach Carlos Carvalhal, who coached him in 2007 /08.

Internationally

Eduardo has been selected in the team of the Portuguese national football team under coach Carlos Queiroz for the qualifications of the FIFA World Cup 2010.

He made his debut on 11 February 2009 in a friendly match with Finland, where it was used the first 60 minutes without conceding a goal. Also in the following month he was able to finish against Sweden without conceding a goal in a qualifying match for the 2010 World Cup in Porto.
