Eduardo de la Torre

Eduardo de la Torre ( born December 4, 1962 in Guadalajara, Jalisco ) is a former Mexican football player who was almost exclusively at his hometown club Chivas Guadalajara under contract. The well known by the nickname " Yayo " ( Grandpa ) known Striker is a son of Chivas legend Javier de la Torre, who coached the club from Guadalajara 1960-1973 and during this period five times led to winning the championship.

Career

In the late 1980s, was Yayo de la Torre is the best offensive player of his long association CD Guadalajara and together with the goalkeeper Javier Ledesma an idol of Chivas fans. In the four seasons from 1986/87 to 1989/90, he scored a total of 52 goals and was the top scorer in every season of his team.
