Eduardo Nascimento

Eduardo Nascimento (* 1944 in Luanda ) is an Angolan singer.

Starting in 1962, Nascimento sang as frontman for the Angolan Beat Band Os Rocks. The band came mid-1960s to Portugal to take part in song festivals, in addition, they played a two EPs. Nascimento participated in the Festival da Canção 1967 and won this clearly. Therefore, he was allowed to compete for Portugal at the Grand Prix de la Chanson 1967 in Vienna. With the hit O vento Mudou he went to 12th place. Nascimento ended his musical career a year later and returned in 1969 back to Angola.
