Edward Binns

Edward Binns ( born September 12, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, † December 4, 1990 in Brewster, New York) was an American stage, film and television actor.

Life and work

After he first starred in several productions on Broadway, he began to play in various films and television series from the early 1950s. He was known among other things from the films 12 Angry Men as Juror No. 6, Judgment at Nuremberg as a senator and Patton - Rebell in uniform of a General W. Smith. He also had appearances in several television series, including, inter alia in the series MASH as General Korshak. In the series It Takes a Thief, he became a recurring supporting role. Until 1988, Binns appeared in some 175 movies and television shows.

He was married to his death with actress Elizabeth Franz He died at 74 of a heart attack during a trip from New York to his home in Connecticut.
