Edward Burnett

Edward Burnett ( born March 16, 1849 in Boston, Massachusetts, † November 5, 1925 in Milton, Massachusetts ) was an American politician. Between 1887 and 1889 he represented the state of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Edward Burnett attended St. Paul 's School and then until 1867, the St. Mark's School in Southboro. This was followed up in 1871 to study at Harvard University. He then worked near Southboro in agriculture. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1886, he was in the ninth election district of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Frederick D. Ely on March 4, 1887. Since he has not been confirmed in 1888, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1889.

Between 1892 and 1900 Burnett Director General of Flosham Farms in Madison was (New Jersey); Since 1900 until his death he worked in New York City as a farm - architect. He died on 5 November 1925 in Milton and was buried in Southboro.
