Edward Davis (buccaneer)

Edward Davis was a buccaneer who, with his ship, the Batchelor's Delight, in the period from 1680 to 1688 Spanish ships seized on and plundered Spanish ports such as Guayaquil in Ecuador in November 1684th He was the successor of the pirate John Cook. His base was in Jamaica, but he also allegedly hidden gold treasures on Cocos Island and had repeatedly started and the Galapagos Islands. He was probably the first European who discovered Easter Island. Davis finally disappeared without a trace in 1702.
