Edward Griffith (zoologist)

Edward Griffith ( * 1790, † 1858) was a British scientist and lawyer.

He was the son of William Griffith of Stanwell in Middlesex.

Griffith wrote General and Particular Descriptions of the vertebrated Animals (1821 ), translated Georges Cuvier's Règne animal and added ( 1827-1835 ) Significant.

A collection of 150 watercolor drawings of butterflies from Asia, Africa, South and Central America is located in the British Natural History Museum in London.
