Edward Malbone

Edward Greene Malbone (* August 1777 in Newport, Rhode Iceland, † May 7, 1805 in Savannah, Georgia) was an American portrait painter and miniaturist.

The predominant period of his life had Malbone in Charleston. His school days spent Malbone in Newport (Rhode Iceland ), where he gave his friend, the painter Washington Allston later, the first art lessons.
