Edward Schoeneck

Edward Schoeneck ( born August 1, 1875 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, † June 22, 1951 ) was an American lawyer and politician ( Republican).

Career

Edward Schoeneck was between 1904 and 1907 member of the New York State Assembly. Then he was 1910-1913 Mayor of Syracuse. He ran unsuccessfully in 1910 for the office of Lieutenant Governor of New York. Only in the gubernatorial elections of 1914 he was elected as running mate of Charles S. Whitman for Lieutenant Governor of New York, however, defeated in his re-election attempt in 1918. Then he took part in the 1933 Constituent Assembly of New York, which ratified the 21th Amendment.
