Edward Warner Award

The Edward Warner Medal is awarded by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ) since 1959 for outstanding achievements in the field of civil aviation. It is named after Edward Pearson Warner this price, who was from 1954 to 1957 the first chairman of the ICAO. The first winner was posthumously awarded the Dutch Albert Plesman.

The medal is the highest award conferred by the international aviation. On March 14, 2003, it was decided that the Edward Warner Medal is only awarded more every three years.
