Edwin C. Johnson

Edwin Carl Johnson ( born January 1, 1884 in Scandia, Republic County, Kansas, † May 30, 1970 in Denver, Colorado ) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ) and the 25th and 33rd Governor of the State of Colorado.

Johnson was born in 1884 in Kansas. In the same year he and his parents moved to Nebraska and settled there on a cattle ranch near the town of Elsie down. Johnson moved to Colorado. 1923 to 1931 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the State, after which he practiced from 1931 to 1933 the office of Lieutenant Governor of. Johnson joined the debate in the governorship and was from 1933 to 1937 and from 1955 to 1957 governor of Colorado. Between his two terms as governor represented Johnson Colorado from 1937 to 1955 in the Senate of the United States.
