Eelco Sintnicolaas

Eelco Sintnicolaas ( born April 7, 1987 in Dordrecht ) is a Dutch decathlete.

In 2008 and 2010 he was the national indoor champion in the heptathlon. His first result in the decathlon was a score of 8.052 in 2009, in the multi - fight meeting Götzis. In 2009 he was European U23 champion. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin he was injured in the high jump and had to retire.

The European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona, ​​he won the silver medal, while improved his personal record of 8159 points ( placed fifth in the all-around meeting Götzis 2010) to 8436 points.
