For the maiden voyage under Captain Dirk Hartog the Eendracht was launched on 23 January 1616 by Texel to Batavia ( now Jakarta ) in the Dutch East Indies. After a violent storm had separated the Eendracht of its escort ships, she sailed alone from the Cape of Good Hope, through the Indian Ocean on a southern route around the Roaring Forties exploit. Off route, Dirk Hartog sighted on October 25, 1616 several uninhabited islands and behind the West Australian coast. He landed on Dirk Hartog Iceland named after him in the area of Shark Bay. It was the second visit by Europeans in Australia ( by Willem Jansz in 1606 in the northeast of Australia) and the first in Western Australia. Then Dirk Hartog charted the coastline between 26 ° and 22 ° south latitude before he reached Batavia in December 1616.

The Eendracht stayed a year in East Indian waters before them on 17 December 1617 by Bantam back to Holland, Zeeland drove it reached on 16 October 1618th

The second trip of the Eendracht led under an unspecified captain back of Texel ( starting on May 13, 1619) to Batavia (arrival on 22 March 1620). Then they sailed to the East Indian waters, for example, to Hirado in Japan in December 1621st
