Eero Elo

Eero Elo ( born April 26, 1990 in Rauma ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since December 2012 at Ässät Pori in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Eero Elo began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Lukko Rauma, for the first team he in the 2008 /09 season his debut in the SM- liiga was when he came to three inserts in the relegation. In the following season could be the winger to eleven points scorer, eight gates, increase in 22 games. Parallel to the game Operation with Lukko he stood from 2008 to 2010 as Players out on loan for the Finnish U20 national team in the second Finnish Mestis league, on the ice and in the season 2009/ 10 for the second division KooKoo. For KooKoo he scored seven goals in ten games and had five assists.

In KHL Junior Draft 2010 Elo was selected in the seventh round as a total of 164 players from HK Budiwelnik Kiev. Two years earlier, he had already been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the fifth round as the 145th overall player of the Minnesota Wild, but was not subsequently contracted. In the season 2010/11, the junior national team was able to increase once more, and he scored in 33 SM- liiga inserts for Lukko Rauma 15 scorer points, including seven goals.

In December 2012, Eero Elo moved within the SM- liiga to Ässät Pori and won with his new team at the end of the season the Finnish championship.

Internationally

For Elo Finland took part in the U20 Junior World Cup in 2010. During the tournament he scored two goals in six games and gave a presentation.
